Terry Flaxton has been a practising visual artist since the late 1970s. His recent work looks at the way that High Definition is changing practices ininstallation work. The Dinner Party has been seen at the Techne and Invideo Festivals in Milan (where it shortly returns) and will be part of a retrospective of his work at Video des Beaux Jours in Strasbourg next spring. He was co-organiser and collaborating artist of an artists’ occupation of the Ashley Court Hotel in Bristol at which The Dinner Party was also seen. Recent work with Ignition includes three installations as part of The Art of Memory, funded through EU Culture 2000, in collaboration artists from France, Italy Greece and Germany. IN OTHER PEOPLE'S SKINS was funded by Arts Council England and toured cathedrals and abbeys in the UK during 2008.
